Complex Systems, Simplified

1. Is this for me?

Is your company struggling with an underperforming software platform or application?

Do you need to integrate new systems with existing ones?

Do you need an new system design?

Do you need a technology assessment or diligence?

2. What is this?

Aplos is a company that can unlock a technology solution for your conundrum. Consider it Chief Architect as a Service.

3. What’s in it for me?

A partner that covers the total cost of ownership for your desired outcome.

A solution that is guaranteed to have all the parts it needs for the outcome. Nothing more, and nothing less.

Not getting a solution that solves a local problem and creates a global one.

Simple communication and not getting buried in technical details.

4. How does it work?

We start from a conversation about the outcome you need. We make sure that we understand each other. This could be a couple of free discovery sessions.

If you are comfortable with discovery, together we design a package. Aplos offers getting you unstuck, system plans, and turnkey solutions.

Paperwork is focused on defining how to verify your desired outcome, so its short.

Getting you unstuck is a flat fee of $5k. System plans and turnkey solutions work starts after a 50% deposit.

Progress is shared in milestones.

Something that makes this work is good communication. Making short feedback loops distinct from brainstorming sessions. In every conversation we are primarily guided by reaching your desired outcome. This creates room to move fast and make changes as needed without wasting time on change orders and all the communication around them.

You verify the outcome. If you like it, you make the final deposit and we deliver the goods.

5. Will this work for me?

If you value transparency, adaptability, and straightforwardness without a lot of dancing around, then this is going to work out well.

6. How long will it take?

Getting you unstuck takes a couple of days and up to a week. Plans can be created between two weeks and a couple of months. For delivery, it can be anywhere from a day (for example, for a concrete fix) to six months. Aplos does not take on multi-year projects. If an effort is a multi-year one, we break it into separate milestones.

7. What is required of me?

Most important is that you know your desired outcome. The better formed the idea, the faster and easier it will be to come up with a plan. It's best to think of an outcome in terms of events that we can verify. For instance, John can log in and see product sales trends in the past 30 days.

Access to people and systems. It's super important to have quick feedback loops. An unanswered question can halt the entire project. This is to your detriment as there are no refunds for the upfront payment and there’s a six month time limit.

Be civil.

Prompt payment at both start and upon verification of outcome delivery.

8. Why now?

Opportunity cost. De-risking a big project now would save you a magnitude of headaches later. You could incur way greater costs than expected, miss a market opportunity, put a team with the wrong skills on it and burn money, not cover a security aspect that can lead to litigation, have out of control infrastructure costs, lose intellectual property, disappoint a customer.

As everybody is trying to outsource digital work in a commodified manner, more systems are crumbling in quality and performance as a result. Not with us.

Budgets are tighter.

With us, you can get the quality of a big agency for a better cost, in the United States.

9. How are we different from others?

We ask good questions. We focus on the outcome.

We focus on your entire company being improved and simplified with the work that we contribute.

Most consultants and agencies charge by the hour. That gets complicated to track and incentivizes your vendor to drag on and charge you more. We focus on the outcome for you for a set price. We really want all of us to be satisfied by working together.

10. Why should I trust Aplos?
